Here are some great gift ideas using the fabulous Decor Elements from Stampin Up. I took a class that my upline and good friend Leasa designed. She is very creative and always has fun and fresh ideas that captures the latest trends.

I bought the candle, plate stand, cork board, and glass plate at Hobby Lobby. The glass plate can be found in the candle section. The tiles came from Lowe's and they are really cheap.

I used the Decor Elements to decorate the candle and plate. I used craft pads to stamp on the tiles. Classic pads will run if you use clear acrylic spray like I did. The spray will waterproof the tiles. Cut the cork board to fit the tiles and use crystal effects to adhere them to the back of the tiles. This will help to protect your furniture.

These are so easy to make. I made two sets in an hour, one for each of my in-laws. They make great personal gifts and they loved them.

Wow! Where has the time gone? First let me wish everyone a very and blessed New Year! I hope your holidays were as enjoyable as mine were. 

It has been a month since I have last posted. Thank you to my faithful readers who are sticking by me, even through my slump! I promise to get back on the bandwagon so keep checking back!

Where have I been you ask? My paying job has been over the top. I am on the computer and phone the entire day and there has not been much left of me to do anything more. I did get some time off at Christmas and New Year but I tried to make those as restful as possible and I wanted to make sure I spent as much time with the family as I could. We spent a couple of days in Virginia visiting my in-laws, but other than that, I tried to do very little.

Check out our Christmas photo! My nephew, Ty, was the photographer and he did an awesome job!

 

We just returned from my son Javon's band concert and since we were all dressed alike, and I waited way too late to get our pics done professionally, I decided it was now or never. We even got the pets to cooperate, so it must have been meant to be.

And here is Javon at his first concert...

   

He is doing well and even played the Little Drummer Boy in our Christmas pageant at church. I was so proud.

Here are a couple of our Christmas morning pics. We had to get up extra early this year because my husband, Michael, had to work later that morning.

   

 

My daughter, Jasmine, would kill me if she knew I put this picture online...shhhhh don't tell! Santa was good to all!

Now, what about stamping you ask? Well, I haven't done much. I did get about 70 hand stamped cards out, but thanks to Stampin Up's Card Kits it didn't take long at all. I did find time to make a new calendar from our Create a Calendar Kit. I had a class right before Christmas and planned to have another after the new year, but the kits are on backorder so I hope to get another in before the end of the month.

In addition to the Create-a-Calendar Kit I used:

• Large On Board Book Basics
• Summer Picnic Designer paper
• Felt Flowers
• Rhinestones brads
• Office clips

I decorated the chipboard with the designer paper and embellished with the self adhesive flowers found in the kit along with the brads and felt flowers. I also decorated the back and adhered the calendar pocket, that also comes with the kit, to the back to store the rest of the adhesive embellishments and the used calendar pages.

The back of the calendar pages were designer paper so I folded up the ends, added some adhesive to each side to form a pocket. I just couldn't waste the pretty paper.

Did you miss me? Gift Giving Class projects Twilight and more....

Wow, can you believe it's already December? Where has the time gone and where the heck have I been? Well I have been extremely busy with my "paying" job which involves being on the computer and phone the entire day, sometimes night as well and sometimes there is just not enough energy to do much more. While I enjoy blogging very much, I do want to leave you with something meaningful that you can duplicate or use to help with your creativity and stamping projects and it's hard to do that when I'm not feeling very creative myself. So, I will have to learn to find a balance and I hope you are patient with me while I do that.

With that said I want to share some of the awesome project we created during my gift giving class I held before Thanksgiving. Speaking of Thanksgiving, I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday, I did, as I have so many things to be thankful for!

For the class we complete a fabulous monogram stationary set...

 

Very cute ornaments created from the Country Living Kit...

 

Everyone loved this cute but very simple to create candy jar. I bought the jars from Hobby Lobby they were 50% off that week.

   

and last but not least this super cute Santa gift bag that I cased from the San Antonio Stampin Up Regional in October...it uses the large scallop Big Shot die. You know I had to get my Big Shot in one of the projects!

 

I really loved all the project we created and so did all my customers. This coming up weekend we will have our final club meeting for the year. I will share those project with you later this week . We will be embossing on tin....very cool!

On a personal Twilight note...did you see the movie? I did 3 times, yes 3 times. A bunch of us moms and daughters went to the midnight opening on November 21st. It was so much fun. Loved Robert Pattinson, he is the perfect Edward. I can't wait until New Moon comes out.

 

This is us standing outside in the freezing cold so we can take a picture by the movie poster. I am the one with the super cute Twilight shirt! I am so addicted I have even read the entire book series again over Thanksgiving. It was even better the second time! Should I go for a third? If I do you probably won't see me online for another week! He he.......

Also, my good friend, and awesome upline, Leasa and I went to see Tina Turner in concert last month. She was awesome! I hope I look as good as she does and have as much energy when I am pushing 70...it truly was amazing!

     

This is us being silly...Leasa's arm was obviously not long enough to hide my humongous nose!!!! I guess we look pretty good after a long four hour drive to Atlanta from Nashville, and yes, we drove back the same night! What were we thinking??????

 

I think I got everyone caught up over the last couple of weeks. I promise I won't stray this long again, even if I just pop on to say I am alive!

Designer Purse Class Results

Can you believe another weekend has come and gone...it was another busy one for me. First I want to apologize for missing Big Shot Saturday. I plan to make that up one day this week, just not enough hours in the day. My computer has been giving me problems as well. It took me an hour tonight just to get my internet to pull up...urghhhhh. VERY frustrating. I am sure many of you can relate.

OK, enough excuses, let's get on with the fun stuff.

This past weekend I held my designer purse class. My friend Heather and I hosted this class together and we had 6 ladies attend, with 3 more still needing to complete their purses. I ordered these fabulous purses from Purseyourart.com. The ladies could choose from Bella Rose or Urban Garden Stampin Up Designer Paper. We also supplied a smogesborg of embellishment to help accessorize their purses. Here are the results and some pics from the class.

 

Here is my friend Heather and fellow Stampin Up Demonstrator. She used Bella Rose and used my Stampin Up Big Shot and the Join in the Cheer Die to embellish her purse. Be sure to visit Heather's blog for great stamping ideas.

 

Here is my friend and fellow Stampin Up demonstrator Cheryl. She used both the Bella Rose and Urban Garden papers. She is showcasing her Bella Rose design.

Here is my sister Lillie who is also a demonstrator in my downline. She is very creative and so she decided to do her own thing and used different paper's for her purse. Looking good Lillie!

 

This is Paula and she also worked with both sets of deisgner papers. Here she is showcasing my favorite, Urban Garden.

Last but not least, this is Sara. She also used Urban Garden.

They all did an awesome job on their purses and we had so much fun. Didn't they also do a great job of posing for their pics?

Of course I designed mine in Urban Garden paper and I used my new favorite tool, the Stampin Up Big Shot!

Celebrate World Card Making Day

In the catalog the kit says you can make 9 cards with 3 each of 3 different designs. There really is enough supplies to make 12 cards with 4 different designs and you have extra designer paper left over. I altered one of the Stampin Up designs to allow for the cardstock to make the 3 extra cards and I cased a very simple, quick, but cute card off of splitcoast. Here is a sneak peak...

Designer Purse Class

Wow, can you believe 2 posts in one week? I'm getting better at this. I just wanted to give you details about a new class I am offering, "The Designer Purse Class". This class can also be done long distance as I will provide all the materials and instructions.

You can make a beautiful, customizable, and reversible designer paper purse like mine I have shown here! Isn't it gorgeous?

Here are your classes options:

Option #1  = $40

Choose either

-          8 pocket purse (like my sample) or 2 pocket purse that fits a card size photo or other paper

-          6 sheets of Urban Garden or Bella Rose designer paper located on page 168 of the fall and winter catalog

Option #2 = $55

Choose either

-          8 pocket purse (like my sample) or 2 pocket purse that fits a card size photo or other paper

Extra set of inserts to make another design option for your purse (4 different designs)

You will get 6 sheets each of Urban Garden and Bella Rose designer paper located on page 168 of the fall and winter catalog 

Included in the price of both options are coordinating card stock and an assortment of accessories to embellish your purse and purse pockets.
